The Giblet Play

    While travelling to the new world, Purdy wrote a play entitled “Giblet”.  He directed passengers and members of the crew in a staging of “Giblet” on the ship somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.  The cast had difficulty reading his writing as he came to reveal that he had one finger missing on his writing hand.  But after much frustration and direction, Giblet was performed to a standing only crowd.  Captain Robtrzegz played the role of Giblet.  Mrs. Evelynne Jame of Black Fryers played Cassandra.
